This policy explains what personal information Built Savage collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We handle your information in line with the Privacy Act 2020.

Who we are

What we collect

When you place an order:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your delivery address
• Your order details — what you bought, sizes, and the amount paid

When you contact us through the website: your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message.

If you sign up to our mailing list: your email address.

What we do not collect

We never see or store your card details. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe on their own secure pages. Your card number is never sent to us and is never stored on our website.

Why we collect it

• To process and deliver your order
• To send you order confirmations and delivery updates
• To answer your questions when you contact us
• To handle returns, refunds and warranty claims
• To send marketing emails, but only if you have asked us to
• To meet our legal and tax record-keeping obligations

Providing this information is voluntary, but without it we cannot process or deliver an order.

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of service providers to run the website. Each one only receives what it needs:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe collects your payment and billing details directly. See stripe.com/nz/privacy.
• Resend — sends our order confirmations and contact form emails.
• Render — hosts the website.
• Our courier — receives your name, address and phone number so your parcel can be delivered.

Some of these providers store information on servers outside New Zealand, including in the United States, Singapore and the European Union. We only use providers that are required to protect your information to a standard comparable to the Privacy Act 2020.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for seven years, as required by New Zealand tax law. Contact form messages are kept for [TO CONFIRM] (suggested: two years). Mailing list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:

No system is completely secure, but if there is ever a privacy breach that could cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.
